FEBRUARY
February 23: I was thrilled to meet Monty, the mascot, from the KC Monarchs at Bonner Springs Library. What a fun author visit!
As I reflect on these past two plus years with Buck O'Neil, I am so grateful. I have met many wonderful people and it has been a thrill to hear their own Buck O'Neil stories. He had a larger-than-life personality, spreading love and kindness everywhere he went. I hope readers take away not only his love for baseball but Buck's immense joy and love of life. Even through the hardest times, he continually poured love into every situation. And I think our world could use a little more of Buck's love. I hope through this journey (and beyond), our children have gotten to know Buck too. I want our children to be inspired by him. And I want them to help keep his memory alive forever. Thank you for all of your support!
Write-fully Yours,
Kristy Nerstheimer, Author
